When we talk about family vacations, many people think that it is first and foremost important to do something to ensure that the children in the family can have a good time and enjoy their vacation. And, yes, children of all ages should definitely be looked after! But there may not necessarily be a contradiction between the children enjoying themselves and having a good time, and the adults also being able to relax, relax and enjoy the good times. Perhaps it is precisely when the adults relax a little that the children also enjoy their vacation the most. Family vacation at Hjellup Fjordbo
Hjellup Fjordbo is a great place to be for the whole family and everything is in place for the ultimate family vacation. There are activities for both young and old, and lots to do together. Here are some tips:
- We have a nice, sheltered playground for children, with a trampoline, swings, slides and zipline. Here the children can romp around while mom and dad enjoy a cup of coffee and observe them at play or participate themselves...
- Meet Petra and Lilly, the two rabbits that live in the playground.
- Gustava, Lina and their goat friends love company and welcome visitors. They are child-friendly and want both cuddles and green leaves from the trees.
- Explore the shoreline and find the finest treasures of shells and rocks, and maybe a crab or starfish too.
- Explore Hjellup Cave, the 57 meter long old mine located nearby. Maybe you'll find some treasures inside... (NB! You'll need boots and a good torch)
- Find the trolls hiding in the area around the facility at Hjellup Fjordbo. How many can you find?
- Try out our disc golf course with the older kids in the family
- Our beautiful beach can be used for swimming all year round if you're the hardy type. Are you up for a challenge?
- A hot bath in our jacuzzi down by the beach is a popular choice for young and old alike.
- Why not try your luck at fishing? Here you can fish from the shore, and the chances of catching fish are reasonably high.
- There are many hiking opportunities in the area around Hjellup Fjordbo . You can walk along the lake and find exciting and beautiful places for a picnic with the family, or you can choose one of the many marked hiking trails in the area. In the fall, you can gather berries or mushrooms together, and in the winter there are miles of ski trails of varying difficulty. There are plenty of shelters with fire pits along the trails and paths, and what could be cozier than heading to such a destination, lighting a fire, enjoying yourself and creating good memories together?
- Inside each of the houses at Hjellup Fjordbo there are books and games that can be used for indoor activities. We also have games and toys that can be borrowed in our common area in Fyrhuset.
Stay in comfort with us
We have five houses that are ideal for family vacations. Each house has three bedrooms with ready-made beds, a living room, kitchen and bathroom with toiletries, as well as a door to a balcony from the largest bedroom and access to a patio from the living room. The patio also has its own fire pit. The houses have all facilities and are suitable for self-catering, but if you prefer to have your food served, it is possible to order breakfast, lunch and dinner.
